For Glaze
• 1 cup Confectioners' Sugar
• 1 tbsp Milk

How to make Almond Kisses:
• Take a bowl and cream butter and sugar in it. Mix well and beat in the egg extract.
• Add flour, baking soda and salt.
• Cover the bowl with a lid and chill for one hour.
• Roll in 1 inch balls, then roll in additional sugar.
• Place them apart on un-greased baking sheets. Bake for 15 minutes, at 325 deg C. Make sure thay they turn golden brown.
• Now, add a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
• Cool on wire racks.
• Combine all the glaze ingredients and drizzle over cookies.

How to make Fruktsoppa:
• Soak dried apricots and prunes in cold water, in a large stainless steel saucepan, for 30 minutes.
• Add cinnamon stick, lemon slices, tapioca and sugar to the pan and boil the mixture.
• On boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
• Stir occasionally, using a wooden spoon, to prevent fruit from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
• Add the raisins, dried currants and apple slices and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
• Ensure that the apples are soft and can be easily pierced with the tip of a sharp knife or skewer.
• Pour the soup into a large serving bowl and let it cool down to room temperature.
• Remove the cinnamon stick.
• Cover the bowl with a plastic wrap and refrigerate to chill the soup.
• Serve the soup in compote dishes or soup bowls.
• You can try adding a scoop of vanilla ice-cream on top of the soup.

• 1 cup Sugar (powdered)
• 2 tbsp Hot Coffee or Milk
• 1/2 tsp Almond Extract

How to make Swedish Tea Ring:
• Take a large bowl and put water in it.
• Dissolve the yeast in this water, by stirring it for 5 minutes.
• Add butter, sugar, eggs, salt, cardamom and flour. Make smooth dough. Cover and refrigerate for 6 hrs.
• Now, take out the dough from the refrigerator and let it rest at room temperature, for 20 minutes.
• Turn dough onto a lightly floured board and roll out to make a 20×20 to 24×24 inch square.
• Spread a thin layer of softened butter right to the edge.
• Mix sugar with the cinnamon and sprinkle over the butter.
• Now, roll the dough in strands, pinching the ends together and forming a ring.
• Grease a baking sheet and place the rolls on the sheet, shaping them into a ring.
• With scissors, cut almost through the ring at 1/2 inch intervals.
• Turn each piece, so that the cut side is exposed. Let them rise for at least 1 hour.
• Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or till they turn golden.
• Mix all the glaze ingredients and sprinkle on top.
• The tea rings are ready to serve.

How to make Hasselback Potatoes:
• Place the potatoes in cold water, to prevent them from turning brown.
• Cut a thin, lengthwise slice from the bottom of each potato, so that they sit flat on cutting board.
• Place two long handled wooden spoons on both sides of the potato, to prevent the knife from cutting it entirely through.
• Using a sharp knife, thinly slice the potato crosswise, avoiding to cut it completely through.
• Place back the potato in the cold water.
• Repeat the process with all other potatoes.
• Grease a shallow baking pan with olive oil.
• Dry the potatoes using a towel and place them on the greased baking pan.
• Brush the potatoes with 2 tbsp of olive oil.
• Place Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, paprika, kosher salt and remaining 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil in a food processor and blend them to form a puree.
• Spread the puree on the potatoes, pressing them to remain on.
• Cover the pan with a foil and bake at 450°F, for 30 minutes.
• Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
• The potato slices will fan out as they bake.
• Remove and drizzle melted butter on the potatoes.
• Garnish with parsley and serve.

How to make Lussekatter:
• Combine milk and butter in a small saucepan on medium heat.
• Stir until the butter had melted and the temperature reaches to 100 °F (38 °C).
• Place yeast in a bowl and crumble it.
• Pour in the warm milk and stir to dissolve yeast.
• Add quark, saffron, sugar, salt and 7 cups of flour to the yeast mixture. Mix well to form shiny and silky dough.
• Add more flour the mixture, if required.
• Cover the dough and allow it to rise for 40 minutes.
• Take 2 or 3 baking sheets and cover each one with a sheet of parchment paper.
• Turn the dough to a floured surface and divide it into 35 pieces.
• Roll each piece into a rope about 5 to 6 inches long.
• Keeping the rope flat on the surface, roll each end towards the center, in opposite directions, to form a curled S-shape.
• Repeat with the other pieces.
• Place the buns on the baking sheets and garnish with raisins.
• Preheat oven to 425 °F (220 °C).
• Cover the buns with a towel and let them rise for 30 minutes.
• Brush each bun with beaten egg and bake for 5 to 10 minutes, till they are puffed and golden.
